Perfect weather, with clear skys and a temperature that reached 68 degrees mid afternoon, helped make our annual party the biggest ever. The record number of food vendors - 24 - and over 60 craft vendors all enjoyed a great day. The Village Green had a record 25 Non-Protit organizations. The rock bands near the beer garden and the more mellow music on the Village Green were each enjoyed by the record number of festival goers. We thank all - organizers and attendees for a great fun day in Fairhaven.Anna Wiliams and Stephanie Johnson, the organizers of our festival. Anna took over 12 years ago and Stephanie has now joined her as co-manager of the event. We thank them. Stephanie with Nicole Walker, the president and treasurer of our Old Fairhaven Association which puts on the festival. Dirty Dan Harris Steakhouse served up sausages and pulled pork on the sidewalk in front of their restaurant. The Park & Ride doubled last year's numbers with cars almost filling parking lot C at Western Washington University. Harris Avenue as the crowd streams up to the party in Fairhaven or down to the finish line at Marine Park. As the race ended, all streamed up to the party. Pamela of the Big Fat Fish Company restaurant set up her welcome desk on the sidewalk for both inside and outside seating. |
