On Satuday, October 18, 2008, a bronze statue of 1800s builder Charles X. Larrabee was unveiled.

Brian Griffin, the Master of Ceremonies, greets the crowd on this sunny day.

Brian Griffin introduces the six Larrabee descendents who accepted his invitations to attend. Five are shown in this photo. Just behind Brian's shoulder is Charles Francis Larrabee II, son of C.X. II and great grandson of CX 1. N ext to the right with long hair is William Sutherland a great grandson and son of Jean Larrabee the daughter of Charles Frances 1. The very tall older gent is Breck Milton, a grandson, the son of Mary Larrabee the only daughter of the senior Larrabees. Next, in the light blue jacket, is Consuelo Larrabee a granddaughter, the daughter of Edward Larrabee, their second son, Next to her is Gilman Low, a great grandson.

David Ebenal provided the space for the statue on his Waldron and Young building property.

The sixth Larrabee descendant to attend was Sarah Larrabee, a great grandaughter of C. X Larrabee. She is shown just behind the statue, with the blue patterned outfit. We wish we had a better photo of her at the ceremony.

Joe Hansen and Gordy Tweit. The crowd had moved up to the upper floors of the Waldron for the reception. These two fellows carry a huge amount of our Fairhaven history in their heads.
