Getting Ready for the Wall

Ken Imus spent today cleaning up the field where the Vietnam Veterans Traveling Wall will be set up on Thursday. I drove down Harris Ave today to check the field, and there was 78-year-old Ken hacking away at the blackberries. It was actually a family effort, as Tim and Brad did heavy cleaning on the other side of the field.

The Haskell Corporation has provided two fields - one for the wall and one for parking. Cascade Joinery - the building in the photo - is providing electricity and water. It is a community effort. The trucks with the wall will arrive late today with setup on Thursday morning.

Visit our Gallery at 901 Harris Avenue. Hundreds of rugs on display.
