Sunshine Fails to Wreck Rain Fest

The moment of truth - checking to see if the little pug - Taimi’s pet dog - has gotten wet from the rain. Nope. Dry fur. As the press photographed the moment, a cheer rose up from the crowd. A dry pug means only 7 more weeks of rain. Officials crowd around Taimi and her pug as the prognosis is read.

The 3rd annual Pacific Northwest Rain Festival had to use Plan B today - the cancellation program - because of the sunshine. Plan B is basically the same as the normal schedule with rain. Actually, we would welcome a bit of rain. The sunny day was hard on our eyes.—Photo by Tim Imus
