Pottery Creation In Progress

Visitors can watch the throwing of pottery in this working studio at Mud In Your Eye pottery store on Harris Avenue. Here, Jeff shapes a vase and Frank shapes a unique sugar dispenser preferred by some coffee shops. They use the spinning wheels to create the round shapes.

This studio is located right in their store and you can watch them at work courtesy of a dutch door as close as this photo shows. They do not throw pottery every day, but do it often enough that you might catch them at work. If you have not seen the making of pottery on wheels, then you are in for a fascinating experience watching them. Kids love it.

Yes, the pottery they make here is for sale in their store. It is high-fired stoneware for household use and is oven, dishwasher and microwave safe. Functional pottery - useful in the home, kitchen and yard. Their store has hundreds of unique pieces made right in this studio. Check them out.
