Painting the Flagpole

Re-Dedication is tomorrow, Saturday morning, at 10 am. The Veterans will raise the flag they took down last Tuesday. Today, Ebenal Construction workers are giving the pole a fresh coat of white paint.

The pole stands 103 feet above the ground, plus 2 feet for the ball and mount, puting the top of the ball at 105 feet high. The memorial plaza sidewalk is 95 feet above sea level, so - wow, you are quick - yes, the top is exactly 200 feet above Bellingham Bay at even tide. Someone tell NOAA we moved it.
