Our thanks to the Fairhaven Village Inn

This could be titled “Santa thanks the Fairhaven Village Inn”, but that would be a little presumptuous.  The Village Inn hosted Santa every Saturday from Thanksgiving until Christmas.  The Inn has this this huge chair - a throne actually - that looks like something out of a Maxfield Parrish painting.  Hotel owners Connie and Gene Shannon set this up in the lobby and Santa holds forth from a fine setting.  Above is what is on the seat when Santa is not there.  The Shannons also hosted the free horse drawn wagon rides each Saturday - and led several Fairhaven businesses in paying for the rides so kids and their parents could ride free.  These rides were really popular with the little ones.  The Shannons did this in the spirit of the holiday season.  We thank them.
