Number 1 Bus To Fairhaven<< Back to archives | Saturday, January 8, 2005
Take the #1 bus for a great ride to Fairhaven. These buses are the newest in the WTA fleet and provide a very comfortable ride (not like the old pseudo trolley buses that have been discarded). Yes, that is a scene of sailing on Bellingham Bay on the back. I’ve ridden on this bus and can tell you it is really comfortable. Plus - the seats in the back are up a few steps providing a great view from on high. The bus runs all day every day, except Sunday, from the main downtown terminal.
Merchants are out sweeping the sidewalks. Here, Karolyn of Gallery West attacks the huge amount of sidewalk in front of the fine art gallery. A corner location has benefits and it has additional - shall we say opportunities. Many shops are reopened this morning, including Pacific Chef, with their great selection of cooking tools; Fairhaven Runners, with people buying good boots for snow and cold weather; and of course, Village Books. Fairhaven Market is on regular hours, as always. |
