New Parking Lot on Mill Avenue

<< Back to archives | Friday, March 4, 2005

A new parking lot in the heart of historic Fairhaven is being built and should be ready for use next week. Yes, that is Village Books just across Mill Ave, and the Village Green - with the movie screen. The lot is expected to hold over 50 cars. It will greatly help the parking.

The lot is being built by Ram Construction and Ebenal General, both of which are donating some of their services. Several Fairhaven property owners are paying for the balance. They are Ken, Brad and Tim Imus, Phyllis McKee, Gene and Connie Shannon, Dave Ebenal and Ted Mischaikov. Ken Imus is loaning the property for at least two years - and maybe longer.

This is a private effort with no government money by these Fairhaven business owners. The money is out of their pockets, plus some from the parking fund. With the busy spring season almost here, we all appreciate the ‘can do’ attitude and real contribution by these few individuals. This will keep Fairhaven a place of free parking for all.

We are open every day of the week. Stop by and see what we have on display.
