Old Dirty Dan Harris is cast in bronze on the Village Green. But through out the year he has been known to wear flowers on the brim of his bowler hat, and to drape a scarf around his neck and to generally enjoy light apparel. We found him a couple days ago sporting the hat that Santa left behind at the Village Inn. This statue has become the iconic symbol of Historic Fairhaven. He was created by Bob McDermott and installed in Apri 2003 and instantly became a favorite of children. He continues to charm them to this day and we thank Bob for that.
