Fairhaven visionary Ken Imus has probably not even seen this yet. It is a very nice bronze plaque with his likeness that was installed on a new building in Fairhaven by the owner.

Since 1972, Ken has diligently worked at developing his vision for Fairhaven into a reality. Sometimes he has been controversial in his determined efforts to shape the community as he thought it should develop. Today’s Fairhaven owes much to him - especially for saving most of our historic buildings. Without him and his willingness to spend good money to keep old buildings from the wrecking ball, we would not have our basic historic core. Today, other younger developers are restoring some buildings that Ken saved. We all owe Ken a thanks.

Where is the plaque? At Mike Bradburn’s 12th Street Village - at the corner of Fairhaven Parkway and 12th. It was created by sculptor Bob McDermott, the artist who created our Dirty Dan statue on the Village Green. Check it out.
