Kayak-Polo on the Fairhaven waterfront

Once a week, from April through September, from 5:30 pm till dark, sunshine or rain, they assemble down at the Fairhaven waterfront and play kayak-polo.  A combination of soccer, basketball and polo.  You can see the net on top of the rod buoy about the center of the photo.  The 10 kayaks form two teams - and there is another buoy basket off the photo to the right about 100 feet.  The action was swift, smooth and sort of like watching soccer.  They pass a ball - someone in the photo has it - and paddles are up to block or guide the throw.  Or so it looked to the photographer.  Another fun activity in Fairhaven.  As the light faded, the photographer left and they were still playing.
