Great Summer for Outdoor Cinema

<< Back to archives | Saturday, September 11, 2004

The last movie of the summer played Saturday. ‘Peter Pan’, the new Australian version, drew over 300 kids and parents - and some young-at-heart adults - for a great last showing on the Village Green. Of the 12 scheduled movies this summer, only one was cancelled because of rain. All the movies were rated G or PG for family entertainment.

We want to thank the 25 Fairhaven businesses who helped sponsor the movies, the volunteers who helped usher the movies, the Traveling Pickford Show for producing 5 of the movies, and all who donated when they attended. Of course, the movies will be back again next summer starting on June 25. We’ll post the schedule here in May.
