Follow Dale McKinnon’s Row to Fairhaven

<< Back to archives | Sunday, July 18, 2004

Dale McKinnon is rowing from Ketchikan, Alaska, to Fairhaven - over 700 miles - as a personal challenge and to help troubled teenagers. She has now rowed over 300 miles along the wild coast of Canada.

We can help by donating for every mile she rows to the Northwest Youth Services. You can go to their website and make a pledge. It all goes for their programs to help teens in trouble.

Dale’s rowboat being lowered into the cove next to the Addenbroke Lighthouse on the British Columbia coast. Sylvia, the daughter of the lighthouse keepers, is shown guiding her boat as it is lowered by the crane. Dale is over half way to Fairhaven on her over 700-mile rowing journey from Ketchikan, Alaska. More photos are posted on the page tracking Dales journey. She is doing it to raise money to help troubled teenagers.
