Fairhaven Outdoor Cinema Season

The first outdoor movie of the summer played to a full Village Green tonight. The Traveling Pickford Show, produced by the Whatcom Film Association, opened the 12-week season before a crowd of over 700 people. Every Saturday evening at sunset ‘til September 11 will feature a family movie and pre-show entertainment. Donations of $4 per person or $10 per family are requested.

The refurbished movie screen showed its improved viewing quality last night. Comcast provided the funds to plaster over the concrete blocks to a smooth surface and then paint the plaster a clean white. The fun and good feeling of outdoor movies are much of the reason so many folks attend.
