Tucked in next to the Village Green is a small shop in one of our most historic buildings - and it is a shoppers delight. Clothing, jewelry, musical instruments, toys, baskets, art, crafts, food and more are packed into this hide away shop. Open seven days a week, owner Karin Porrini also carries items made by local artisans and crafts people. Prices vary from incredible bargains to what you would expect to pay for mass market items - eccept they are beautifully hand made. Here Paul and Tina are trying on hand made hats - from maybe Tibet or South America or maybe from Whatcom County. There is no door on any street. This shop opens onto the Village Green and you can also get to it via the inside stairs of the Colophon Cafe - which it is next to. They are open 11 am to 6 pm every day except they close at 5 pm on Sunday. Looking for gifts after not getting out enough in the big snow? Check this place out. You will find surprises that will be appreciated. |
