Dan Harris Commemorative Row from Victoria to Fairhaven

Tip Johnson, dressed as Dan Harris, starts his four-day row from Victoria to Fairhaven this afternoon. It was 150 years ago that Dan Harris rowed over and founded our community. Tip will arrive this Saturday at 2:00 pm, landing at Harris Ave in Fairhaven. He will be greeted by Bellingham Mayor Mark Asmundson, the Fairhaven Middle School Marching Band and all who want to join. He will then walk up Harris Avenue to the new Village Green and unveil the bronze statue of Dan Harris.
