Cool Marine Park on the Fairhaven waterfront

These kids know where the cool is when the temperature hits 90 degrees - like it did today in Fairhven.  That is hot for us in the Northwest.  Very hot.  Record hot.  We know it will last only a day or two and then cool down.  Marine Park, at the foot of Harris Avenue, is one of our little treasures.  Any season of the year it provides a calm view of Lummi Island and, behind, Orcas Island in the middle of the San Juan Islands.  A quiet place to have a picnic lunch or read a book.  Or just wade in the water looking for little sea critters.
