Bocce on the Village Green - all is back to normal

With Ski to Sea behind us, Fairhaven returned to almost normal today.  Bocce ball - a very relaxing game - was again being played in the warm late afternoon sun.  Every Monday evening at 5 pm we have pickup games of Bocce - for beginners and experienced alike.  Tis a simple game - and fun.  Two teams - one with the red balls and the other with the green ones - try to roll their balls the closest to the white ball.  Points are awarded for the closest balls - and the first team to 12 points wins. 

Easy, relaxing but strangely very competitive.  Here, from the left, are Dee, Laura rolling her green ball, Quel who is teamed with Laura, and Rose Marie who is teamed with Dee.  We invite you to join us any Monday all summer.  And check back later this week for info on the Bocce tournament on Saturday, June 23.
