We warmly welcome this fabulous new restaurant to Fairhaven.  Manager Andy Mei’s Sushi Bar and Asian Grill is finally open and southside residents are flocking to try out the food.  All reports are this is absolutely first class.  Beautiful decor, comfortable tables, convenient counter bar and superb food.  He has Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Hawaiian, Thai and even a little Mongolian.  He offers a long list of appetizers, classic stir fries, several well thought out entrees, maki and nigiri sushi plus full sushi dinners along with a fine selection of beers from several Asian countries, wines and very nicely served teas.  And of course sake.  Wow - Fairhaven has an Asian restaurant.  A very good one.  (Of course no MSG in the cooking.)

The restaurant is at the corner of Mill and 12th.  Does that give you to pause?  It is in Ebenal’s new Fairhaven Gardens building.  We happen to know that Ebenal could have booked in a couple chain restaurants but held out for a family owned one.  We in Fairhaven thank him.  This places is across the street from the library, or across Mill from Key Bank.  It is open every day from 11 or 11:30 till 9 pm or later.  The exact hours are on their listing  on the dining page.  The A.W. is for the owners Anita and Wilson and they didn’t really know of the A&W Root Beer name when they named the restaurant.  We have no problem with that.  Welcome to Fairhaven and thanks for coming here.
