<< Back to archives | Friday, August 13, 2004

Passengers line the railings as the Columbia, the queen of the Alaska Marine Highway fleet, slips her lines and moves away from the Cruise Terminal in Fairhaven. Every Friday evening of the year at 6 pm it departs for its 36-hour, 676-mile, non-stop journey to Ketchikan and then on to Skagway, another 380 miles. It returns each Friday morning, having completed its round trip.

The Silvery Moon has just returned from the World's Largest Gem Show with a huge selection of mohi colored sapphires and new designs. Show your Valentine your love.
