Village Books celebrated 25 years

of serving customers in Fairhaven with a champaign party this evening.

Chuck and Dee Robinson exchanged a kiss for the photographer Kelly - and for each other. The store was crowded this evening with customers coming by to share the moment.

Chuck and Dee opened their shop on June 20, 1980 in a very small space in part of the present Paper Dreams. Some of us remember how we would come out of the Picture Show after an evening movie and maybe after 9 pm - and lo, across the street their book store was still open. We would browse and buy. Their service was great then and is still great. Congratulations to them and their staff. And a special recognition to Krista who has been with Village Books for 22 years.
