Saturday’s modest Dirty Dan Harris Day

on the Village Green served its purpose well. It attracted more people to Fairhaven for the day and it received much good publicity in the local media - including this two-photo spread on the front of the Local News section of Sunday’s Bellingham Herald. Fairhaven.com was the organizer of the day in an effort to make an annual event from last year’s dedication day of the Village Green. All the participating merchants felt the day was very worth their while, and all who attended enjoyed themselves. Already, others are coming forward with ideas on how to make next year better. The idea of this event is to show off what makes Fairhaven unique - to show off the local artisans and crafts people whose products are displayed in Fairhaven shops. To attract folks here early in the summer season for a fun day of enjoying the event and then walking the streets, discovering our shops and eateries.
