Racing pianos sent to off-season pasturage

Doug Borneman, organizer of the Piano race for Dirty Dan Days, helps one of the thoroughbred pianos be put away until next year’s race. Ebenal General has provided a stable - er, warehouse space - for the two Fairhaven Association pianos. Here, Pat of Ebenal on the forklift carefully carries one of the pianos into the stable. These are the only racing pianos in the world, as far as we know.

This year’s race had four pianos entered. The other two pianos are privately owned and being taken care of by their owners till next year. And we congratulate Fairhaven Bike for winning the second race this year - a repeat of their win during the first race last year.

We thank The Johnson Team of Muljat Realtors in Fairhaven for providing their truck to bring the pianos from the racing stable down on Harris to the Ebanel stables.
