Owner Dr. Zeidner is preparing plans for up to 90 condos in a 5- or 7-story tower, plus much retail and office spaces in 2- and 3-story towers spread around the site. Retail on Harris, of course. There are concerns and challenges dealing with parking, view impacts, historic motif and increased local traffic. The increased residential capacity will benefit the district, and the location would allow residents to walk to virtually any service they need. The property is the next logical place for development as businesses slowly move down Harris towards the waterfront.
