Our Fairhaven Market

is being transformed again. Haggen is adjusting all the shelving in the store over the next several nights to bring the layout into sync with Haggen stores. Shopping is not being interrupted. On November 2, the store goes to being open 24 hours a day. And the Haggen name will be added to Fairhaven Market name.

This continues a long practice of our grocery store being reinvented every few years. In the 60s, we shopped at Hayden’s Grocery there. They sold and eventually it became the Red Apple Grocery, then the Fairhaven Market and now a Haggen, which, by the way, is a Bellingham firm. For several years - in the 80s and 90s, as I recall - the store was owned by the employees. And then Barry Kramer and his wife Anne bought it and upgraded it considerably. Last year they sold it to Haggen. It continues, through the years, to be our grocery.

We are open every day of the week. Stop by and see what we have on display.
