New Fairhaven website look

At 9 pm last night, we turned on the new Fairhaven website.  While it looks similar at the moment, I am letting you know mainly because it has been so much work to get to this moment.  The new site will allow more information to be posted in a fraction of the time previously needed.  This site started four years ago and since then all content has been put in by hand tooling, as the web geeks call it.  Each year has seen a doubling of the number of photos posted - and yet people want more.  Now we can do it. 

Some features are subtle but help visitors discover more about Fairhaven.  For instance - the Dining page will now shuffle the order the restaurants are displayed - helping people to spot restaurants they might not have visited yet.  This works on all the business listing pages.  We can now post featured businesses on the home page - so as to help some businesses celebrate special events or sales. 

Over the next few days we will add some more fun stuff and in a couple weeks we hope the entire old site will be moved over to the new site.  I thank you for visiting Fairhaven.com and hope to make it even more fun to visit over the next four years.  - John Servais
