New building gets permit

A new commercial building got its permit this week and construction should start within days.  Brad and Tim Imus have teamed up to build a modest two story - wih mezzanine - on 11th Street and adjoining the Fairhaven Bikes building and about the same size.  The design will incorporate classic historic Fairhaven building elements such as red brick work, 18 foot ceiling for the retail space on the first floor, and some decorative facade details.  The mezzanine and second floor will be office spaces.  The building will nicely fit all zoning specs and not need any variance. Ebenal General will do the construction, so between the Imus family and Ebenal we all know this building will be of very high quality and lasting charm.  This building will help connect the north part of Fairhaven with the historic core that will still be about a block away.
