Lavender Farm Inspires New Gallery

A love of art and her mother?s lavender farm in Sequim has inspired WWU graduate Tracie Barrick to open The Bunch, a new gallery in Fairhaven?s Harris Square Courtyard. Armed with a BA in East Asian Studies, minor in Eastern Religions and ?a lot of business classes,? Barrick decided to take the plunge after finding success selling her handmade soaps to her mother?s farm. For her store, she?s taking it further, to include the works of local artists and craftspeople. True to her Asian interests, (as a student, she spent 1 year studying in Japan), the shop will feature handmade Japanese-inspired fixtures with Shoji screens and have an open, Zen feeling. A grand opening is planned in June. The Bunch is located at 960 Harris Ave Suite B-104. http://www.thebunchstore.com 671-5769
