They deserve our thanks as the third annual celebration of our historic district went two days and drew many people down to enjoy the festival and our shops and restaurants.

Standing, from left and the event they managed are: Nancy D’Anna, the Chuckanut Chowder Cook-Off; Dale Mckinnon, the Dan Harris Challenge Rowing Race and the Smugglers’ Classic Row; Patti Lierman, the Antique Fair on the Village Green.

Kneeling and sitting, from left are: Doug Borneman, Dan’s Piano Race and all the stage entertainment; Jim Rich, aka Dan Harris, MC of events and tours of district; and Stephanie Johnson, event organizer. Not shown are Todd Shuster, the Chartered Yacht Tours; and Taimi Gorman, publicity.

The Fairhaven Association, the umbrella organization of Fairhaven businesses, sponsored the event. We are already planning next year’s festival with the same agenda for Saturday & Sunday, April 29 & 30, 2006. We’ll post a page of information later this month.
