and three bowler hats to greet the first foot-passenger ferry from the San Juan Islands this morning.

As a group, we equaled the number of passengers who walked up the dock. Ahhh, but such is the modest beginning of what we hope will be a permanent ferry from Fairhaven to Friday Harbor. This service needs some creative support from all of us in Fairhaven to make it a success. It is well worth our efforts. Thanks to Taimi Gorman of Gorman Publicity for the photo.
