At the soon-to-open (we hope) Mannino’s Restaurant,

a new brick fireplace has been built for the outside patio.

Of course, it instantly looks 100 years old. Bricklayers Roger Tesch and Jeff Sturlangson built it and are adding other old brickwork touches this week to the patio. Of course, the bricks ARE over 100 years old, having been saved by Ken Imus from other building renovations in past years. I’m told there is still a chance the restaurant will open in August. They have been waiting several months for the kitchen permit from the city. They hope to have it this week.
