A new office building will be built near 10th and Douglas

about two blocks north of the Village Inn. Former mayor Ken Hertz and partners are in the advanced planning stage for this four-story building. To visualize where it will be, it is south of and next to the old Reid Boiler Works building - or at the north end of the old Uniflite property. A bay-side office building - a first for Bellingham and Fairhaven.

That should complete the list of new buildings being actively planned for Fairhaven in the next year. I’ll keep my ear tuned for more specifics, such as meetings and hearings. And I’ll try to get sketches and plans to post here.
