Classic Forms with a Twist by Andy Wollman-Simson

05/07/2012 - 05/31/2012

Andy Wollman-Simson has a long history with Good Earth, having started out as an apprentice in the old studio long ago.  His glaze colors reflect the surroundings of his home in the foothills of Mt. Baker.  His classic, high-fired stoneware forms are surprisingly light; the lidded vessels finished off with a delightful twist of a handle. Graceful beauty and functionality--what more could you ask from pottery? This artist showcase runs through May.

ABOUT Good Earth Pottery

Located in the historic Morgan Block Building since 1969, Good Earth Pottery has evolved from a co-operative pottery studio to a retail outlet and gallery for local potters and clay artists.

Everything is handmade; featuring juried work from more than 50 local artists. The work displayed represents the many different techniques--both traditional and innovative--used to create functional pottery and clay art. Always evident is the unique style of each individual artist. Handmade jewelry, felted bags, soaps and lotions, art prints and cards complete the representation of our local craftsmen and women. Shipping and bridal registry are also available.
