ABOUT Adventures NW magazine

Adventures NW is the area's favorite outdoor recreation, sports and lifestyle magazine since 2006, focusing on all that the region has offer casual outdoor lovers and serious athletes, adventure travelers and armchair enthusiasts, locals to the region (families included) and travelers from all over the country and world-- anyone who likes to experience the outdoors in some way.

A full-color magazine, ANW is published quarterly in Fairhaven by Paul Haskins and Alaine Borgias, who have a long history living, working and playing in the area. The pages are filled with an extensive outdoor calendar, plus in-depth articles and brilliant photos by contributors such as uber-kayakers Heather and Brandon Nelson, Seattle Times contributor Mike McQuaide, national outdoor journalist Abigail Sussman, renowned photographer Jon Brunk, and others.

More than 40,000 readers enjoy each issue, either through paid subscriptions or by picking up a free copy at one of hundreds locations throughout Whatcom, Skagit, Island and San Juan counties, at key spots throughout western Washington (outdoor retailers such as all REI stores, visitor centers, transit areas), and in select locations in central and eastern Washington and lower British Columbia.

More info on advertising, subscribing, or obtaining previous issues can be found online.

Read select stories in the Adventures NW Library online.

A favorite among readers, Adventures NW magazine is an amazing local offering and resource for discovering outdoor events and activities in "the northwest corner," and an inspiration to Race... Play... Experience... to try new adventures and delve into all our part of the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
