Changed info for a business listing? Have a question? Want to make a suggestion? Email me at: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) I'm John Servais, the publisher. This website is my business. I first experienced Fairhaven in 1968, came to love the area and have watched it evolve ever since. While this website was started in 1996, it really began growing in April 2002 with financial support from several key Fairhaven businesses. It continues to grow with support from more businesses. And I continue to enjoy my work of promoting our historic district and the businesses there and near there. FairhavenToday, Historic Fairhaven has a different kind of charm than it had in the late 60s and early 70s, but the feel of the district is still fun and relaxed, oriented to local ownership, local arts and crafts and really good eateries. The historic buildings have come to life. It is one of the genuine fun places in the U.S. and everyone who comes here experiences that feeling.
So - I hope you enjoy this website. My goal is to make it reflect the real Fairhaven - but it's only a guide to the real Fairhaven. I hope it provides you with the information you are seeking so you can enjoy the real Fairhaven. If you have a question, just email me and I'll try to help you. Thanks for visiting. Barbara Crowley for finding & posting the events and editing and distributing the Green Sheet for almost 3 years. Taimi Gorman for continuous business news and occasional posts to the Buzz and for posting home page photos when I'm on vacation. John Meloy for his redesign of the site in 2006 and for updating the design and coding. Craig Merriman for help with the banners and graphic elements in 2004. Shirley Strand of Emerald Arts Design for graphics help starting this website in the spring of 2002. ... and to the many other persons who have encouraged and advised me over the past seven years. Fairhaen.com went online the spring of 1996 with photos and information. In April 2002, it greatly expanded into a comprehensive site with convenient business listings, events calendar, weekly and twice weekly photos and traveler's information. Three key supporters made the expansion possible - Chuck and Dee Robinson and their Village Books, Ken Imus and his Jacaranda Development Corp., and Phyllis McKee and Taimi Gorman who brought the Old Fairhaven Association into support. In the Summer of 2002, this site became the official website of the Fairhaven Association. It has been a labor of love and a necessity for income ever since. |
